  1. Some wonderful images here, especially the grass seed head. You are getting as good with a camera as you are arranging words. Motherhood has NOT taken the artist out of you but rather enhanced to artist in you. Fresh, alert, spunky, and beautiful point of view and a vivid way of looking at the landscape of life.

    1. Thanks, Bill! The babe did come with me... his first real stroll along some trails, and he really did help me see things in new light. Great fun.

  2. I really like these shots...it is easy to shoot photos of the pristine snow during the winter. But the melting season is just as good. Ready for spring!! Thanks for sharing!

    1. So true, Virginia. There is a lot of brown around here these days, but beauty is still easy to find if one just looks for it.

    1. Thanks, Tinajo! Easter was great; lots of family, good food, and temperatures in the 50s! Love love love the blue sky.

  4. I do love the second photo. The melting and refreezing process and its granular product always reminds me of improperly made fudge - just a little gritty, but just as sweet.

    1. What a perfect association. And what a tempting thought... Easter may have come and gone, but I am not over eating chocolate. :)

  6. Emily:

Keep taking that baby outside, as I know you will. It will be an amazing experience to see the natural world through his eyes as he grows into that unique, fresh, childhood awareness where everything is new.

    1. Definitely, Richard. We went outside yesterday, and just watching how Elliot reacted to the wind skimming his face was a wonder. "What is this sensation? How does it work? I am blinking my eyes this quickly because I want to understand, to taste it with fresh sight." :)
